Mental Health is defined as emotional and psychological well-being, which allows individuals to work, enjoy fulfilling relationships and participate fully in their communities.  Mental Illness accounts for 4 of the top 10 leading causes of disability and approximately 25% of the population experience a diagnosable mental health condition in their lifetime.  Research studies demonstrate that mental health is a significant component of physical health.  Research studies demonstrate that every $1 invested in evidence-based treatment yields $2 to $10 in savings from lost productivity as well as health, criminal justice and other costly interventions.
