During Mental Health Awareness Month, CareLink Community Support Services joins the national movement to raise awareness about mental health, fight stigma, provide support, educate the public, and advocate for policies that support individuals living with mental illness and their families. Helping adults living with mental illness develop the tools necessary to lead healthy and fulfilling lives has been the heart of CareLink’s mission since 1959.

Although CareLink typically observes Mental Health Awareness Month during its annual, all-agency picnic in Ridley Creek State Park, the 2022 event was cancelled due to ongoing COVID-19 exposure concerns. Instead, all CareLink program staff and participants received silver-plated, enamel mental health awareness pins to mark the occasion.
