Viki Ley and Alana Scott

On October 26, CareLink’s Marc Kravitz Memorial Fund awarded a $100 gift card to Alana Scott, a graduate of the agency’s Transition Age program in Clifton Heights, PA. Former Transition Age Program Supervisor Viki Ley was on hand to present the gift to Ms. Scott at the agency’s administrative office in Media, PA.

Ms. Scott, a resident of Drexel Hill, PA, is a Nursing major at Delaware County Community College. In June, she was one of five students named to the 2022 All-Pennsylvania Academic Team by the Phi Theta Kappa international honor society of two-year colleges and the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges. Induction into All-PA includes a full-tuition scholarship for two years to one of the 14 Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education universities.

The Marc Kravitz Memorial Award was established by the Kravitz family in 1999 to recognize individuals who show exceptional spirit and determination in achieving and maintaining employment. Marc Kravitz and his family were always appreciative of the support he received from CareLink’s vocational services in the agency’s early days. Marc progressed from working in volunteer and short-term positions to a full-time job with the U.S. Treasury Department, where he worked for 10 years until his death from cancer in 1998.
