Nearly 60 CareLink staff members, participants, and stakeholders were on hand for the agency’s 25th annual Career Services Recognition and Awards Dinner at La Locanda Ristorante Italiano on May 2. The event is held each year to recognize the achievements of Career Services participants and contributions made by community partners to build a strong and diverse workforce.
This year, CareLink recognized the following community partners and participants:
Career Pathways Program received the Educator of the Year Award for its support of individuals with disabilities in furthering their education.
Regal Cinemas Edgmont Square was named the Employer of the Year for its dedication to hiring and supporting individuals with disabilities in the workplace.
The Compass Award recognized Steven Roarty and Rudysha Rothwell for the determination and drive they each display as they work toward achieving their goals.
The New Employment Award recognized Helen Hieble, who recently started working in her chosen employment field.
The Student of the Year Award recognized James Groesbeck and Laverne Rockymore, two individuals who have excelled in their academic achievements.
The Peer Support Award recognized Renee Warring, who has have demonstrated an understanding of the importance of peer support in their mental health recovery.
The Sustained Employment Award recognized Michael Czako and Sydrea Quate, two individuals who maintained extended periods of employment.
The Marc Kravitz Award, sponsored by the Marc Kravitz Memorial Fund, recognized Suzanne Smith, an individual who has demonstrated spirit and determination in achieving her employment goals.
