Although CareLink typically celebrates its supported employment and education participants at its annual Career Services Awards Dinner, this year’s event was cancelled due to ongoing pandemic concerns. Instead of a dinner, the agency provided all Career Services participants with gift cards funded by the Marc Kravitz Memorial Award.
The Marc Kravitz Memorial Award was established by the Kravitz family in 1999 to recognize individuals who show exceptional spirit and determination in achieving an maintaining employment. Marc and his family were always appreciative of the support he received from CareLink’s vocational services in the agency’s early days. Marc progressed from working in volunteer and short-term positions to a full-time position with the U.S. Treasury Department, where he worked for 10 years until his death from cancer in 1998.
Recipients of the Marc Kravitz Memorial Award demonstrate the same work ethic and drive that inspires others to strive toward fulfilling employment.
