Full Care Community Residential Services

Full Care Residences help adults with mental illness learn the skills they need to live independently and become fully integrated into the community.

Individuals work with a primary counselor to develop a personalized rehabilitation plan that identifies the unique interests, needs, and goals of each resident, and then maps out specific interventions and strategies. Family members play an important role in an individual’s care and are invited to resident treatment meetings, program parties, and open house events. Regular contact with residents’ support networks is strongly encouraged.

Services Include:

  • 24-hour staff support and supervision
  • Assistance with medication
  • Help with meal prep, self-care, and health care coordination
  • Social and community activities
  • Coaching in constructive leisure time and using public transportation
  • Strategies for obtaining educational and vocational opportunities

Personal Care Home

CareLink’s Torrey House Personal Care Home provides supervision and assistance with personal care for adults with mental illness. Torrey House specializes in supporting adults with schizophrenia and similar serious mental illnesses.

While each resident of Torrey House receives individualized care, Torrey House also promotes social activities and group therapies. Residents attend group sessions focused on psycho-education, health and nutrition, interpersonal relationship building, and arts and crafts. Residents participate in community events to promote socialization and integration with their local community.

Services Include:

  • 24-hour staff support and supervision
  • Assistance with medication
  • Three nutritious meals a day, seven days a week
  • Assistance with personal fund management
  • Support in daily living activities such as hygiene, managing appointments, transportation, laundry, and personal shopping

Supported Living

CareLink’s Supported Living Services (SLS), provided in scattered site apartments, were developed as an alternative option for group home living, and participants receive less support than individuals living in our Full Care Residences or Personal Care Home.

SLS is designed to expand and improve the housing options and supports offered to adults in recovery from mental illness. Services include general housing assistance, rehabilitation services as established in an individual’s comprehensive system of treatment, and community support. Among the areas that may be addressed are:

  • Managing symptoms and medication
  • Personal care/health care
  • Housekeeping, nutrition, and consumer skills
  • Time management
  • Relationship skills and self-advocacy
