Residential Services
CareLink offers housing support and a variety of residential programs to fit the needs of each individual. Our Full Care Residences, Personal Care Home, and Supported Living programs serve adults living with severe mental illness.
Because we understand that an individual’s needs may change over time, CareLink offers a range of residential services that are equipped to follow individuals through their transitions and provide them with:
Caring home environments in local neighborhoods
Varied levels of supervision based on need
Life skills training and support for community living
Full Care Community Residential Services
Full Care Residences help adults with mental illness learn the skills they need to live independently and become fully integrated into the community.
Individuals work with a primary counselor to develop a personalized rehabilitation plan that identifies the unique interests, needs, and goals of each resident, and then maps out specific interventions and strategies. Family members play an important role in an individual’s care and are invited to resident treatment meetings, program parties, and open house events. Regular contact with residents’ support networks is strongly encouraged.
Services include:
24-hour staff support and supervision
Assistance with medication
Help with meal prep, self-care, and health care coordination
Social and community activities
Coaching in constructive leisure time and using public transportation
Strategies for obtaining educational and vocational opportunities
Personal Care Home
CareLink’s Torrey House Personal Care Home provides supervision and assistance with personal care for adults with mental illness. Torrey House specializes in supporting adults with schizophrenia and similar serious mental illnesses.
While each resident of receives individualized care, Torrey House also promotes social activities and group therapies. Residents attend group sessions focused on psycho-education, health and nutrition, interpersonal relationship building, and arts and crafts, and also participate in community events to promote socialization and integration with their local community.
Services include:
24-hour staff support and supervision
Assistance with medication
Three nutritious meals a day, seven days a week
Assistance with personal fund management
Support in daily living activities such as hygiene, managing appointments, transportation, laundry, and personal shopping
Supported Living
CareLink’s Supported Living Services (SLS), provided in scattered site apartments, were developed as an alternative option for group home living, and participants receive less support than individuals living in our Full Care Residences or Personal Care Home.
SLS is designed to expand and improve the housing options and supports offered to adults in recovery from mental illness. Services include general housing assistance, rehabilitation services as established in an individual’s comprehensive system of treatment, and community support. Among the areas that may be addressed are:
Managing symptoms and medication
Personal care/health care
Housekeeping, nutrition, and consumer skills
Time management
Relationship skills and self-advocacy
