More than 50 CareLink program participants, staff members, and guests were on hand to celebrate the agency’s artists and their work at CareLink’s annual Building Community Through the Arts art show and sale.

The event, held at the Main Line Art Center on August 22, included an exhibition of artwork in a variety of mediums, from acrylics to fused glass to mosaic, created by individuals participating in CareLink’s services and art workshops, as well as a reception with live guitar music by local artist Noah Mendell and complimentary refreshments.

“This was a lovely event,” one guest remarked after the reception. “I love meeting the program participants and artists.”

Through their work, the artists featured in this show reveal that their talents are multidimensional, and that they are not defined by their illness. The artists aspire to educate the community and share CareLink’s vision of true community integration through this presentation.

CareLink’s Building Community Through the Arts program receives state arts funding support through grants from The Wawa Foundation and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
